The Church Eternal
The Church Eternal, the name has been used to describe the Lancea et Sanctum in the past, but in New Orleans it best describes Augusto Vidal’s faction both among the Sanctified and the city as a whole. For the last two-hundred years Vidal has ruled the city as Prince and Archbishop, cementing his rule firmly in the minds of all Kindred who call the city home. Even Antoine Savoy, Vidal’s primary rival for primacy has to acknowledge his dominance in the city and has largely set aside any ambition to rule the city until Vidal finally steps down.
Officially every coterie in New Orleans owes its loyalty to Vidal, and thus, the Church Eternal, whether they consider themselves Sanctified or not, as Vidal with brook no overt dissension. Even non-sanctified are careful to acknowledge the Church lest they be labelled as the Double Damned.
